My Job
I lead the Technology and Healthcare practices at Nove.
My Experience
I have been working in the field of EU public affairs since 2008, advising companies and trade associations in the tech, healthcare, sports, gambling and publishing sectors.
Prior to NOVE, which I’ve helped set up in 2013, I worked at APCO Worldwide’s Brussels office as Senior Associate. I have also been a Consultant at KEA European Affairs, another Brussels-based agency. At the beginning of my career I completed traineeships at the European Commission’s Sports Unit (DG EAC) as well as the Brussels office of the German Marshall Fund of the United States.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement relates to the launch of the company, which is now NOVE, in 2013. Our first office was in a law firm’s kitchen, where we were working with a few colleagues with our personal laptops. We had no website, no branding, nothing…When I see what has become NOVE today, I could not be prouder of being part of this adventure!
My Education
Université libre de Bruxelles, Masters in Political Science and European Studies.
My Languages
French, English and Dutch.
My Interests outside work
Football. Reading. Testing new beers (what can you expect from a Belgian?). See my 3 children grow every day!
My Favourite Brussels anecdote
A couple of years ago, I was sitting in the office of the one of the European Parliament Vice-Presidents to discuss an event I was organising for a client around the FIFA World Cup trophy (which, as a football fan, was a dream coming true!). At the end of the meeting, I was very surprised to be offered a cigarette by one of the assistants, who lighted his in the office of the Vice-President, who was coincidently in charge of security issues on the EP premises, including rules governing smoking bans…
