My Job
Working with FTI’s great healthcare and life-sciences team, I currently support pharmaceutical, biotech and medical technology companies and organisations on a range of interesting healthcare policy issues and exciting innovations.
My Experience
I worked in EU public affairs in Brussels for 20 years, both in-house within multinational companies and as a consultant.
Before joining FTI, I worked for 6 years at Medtronic, the leading global medical device company, where I held the role of Senior Director of Government Affairs for the EMEA region. Before that I set up and led the EU Liaison Office at multinational gaming and technology company IGT and I started my career as a consultant and worked across sectors on Internal Market, competition, services, etc. for business, trade associations, Government.
My Specialisms
My Proudest Achievements
Changing industrial sector, joining a new regional leadership team and integrating Government Affairs in a company strategy all at once, while growing a toddler at home.
My Education
I have a degree in Political Science from Italy and a Master’s in EU Political and Administrative Affairs from the College of Europe in Bruges.
My Languages
Italian, English, French, rusty Spanish and will one day speak better Greek!
My Interests outside work
Swimming, learning piano with my daughter. Others would say cooking.
My Favourite Brussels anecdote
The experience I will never forget is when I the Chair of a coalition I was managing, persuaded an airline to make me fly in the cockpit on an over-booked flight to Budapest, so that I could brief him and hand him his conference speech.
