Over €122 million in EU funding for ground-breaking digital projects: first Digital Europe Programme Calls now open

The first Digital Europe Programme calls of the year have been launched, offering over €122 million in EU funding for ground-breaking digital projects in, among others:
– Data (€31 million), with investment in the ‘Genome for Europe’ project to establish a European reference genome database that will foster break-through advances in research, innovation, disease prevention and healthcare delivery
– Cloud-to-Edge infrastructure (€25 million) supporting the Cloud Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) Exploitation Office, which will support and disseminate the cloud-to edge results of the IPCEI, as well as to support the development of a secure collaborative platform for the aeronautics and security industries.
– Artificial Intelligence (€18 million) supporting the development of CitiVerse and coordination of AI sectoral Testing and Experimentation Facilities
– Advanced digital skills (€16 million) with particular emphasis on reinforcing skills in semiconductors, as well as boosting digital skills of young pupils with a focus on young girls.
